A dress in brown velvet and lace is my next creation. I finally understood how to place every piece of the pattern on the fabric so they all fitted in. I even had a small crises, but a phone call to my mother solved it. But I had to cut the dress much more slim than the actual pattern. No big deal since the fabric is so special.
But tonight the dress has to wait, I have been so active today: skating AND skiing. I am so tired now…
I have been mending my coat and I feel so stupid. Stupid because I bought it so cheap, stupid because I haven’t understood how much the seamstresses have been working. My coat is very well stitched. For me it took over an hour just to sew two pockets and just a tiny part of the lining…
I really would like to pay more for my coat, if I knew my money ended up in the right pocket.
Let’s start an appeal: More money to the underpaid workers in the textil industry!
