My mother has visited and she gave me orders. 🙂
Some stiches had to be corrected, otherwise the top wouldn’t fit me. So two steps forward and one syep back… Yes this work proceeds slowly.
I just found out that the UK Magazine Inside Crochet has presented me together with three other designers as Designers we love. Yes, I am thrilled about it. Thank you so much!
And again I find my self being troubled by a moral dilemma. Here it is: I love the fashion from the 1940’s. It is a war time fashion, both influenced by the military look and a product of the shortage of fabric.
So is it morally right to like this fashion which is a war-look. Is it so, that I end up romanticising a war time or is it possible to enjoy the fashion separated from the context? What I like about the style is, truly troubeling, the broad shoulders, rough fabrics, dark colors — all that one can associate with the war.
What are your thoughts about this?
